University of Glasgow

I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience at this university. My halls allowed me to meet many fellow students and the nature of my subjects (which included labs) allowed me to socialise within my subject. Support is usually available academically, although you will need to proactively ask for it. The university has a good social scene, with a brilliant student gym (and free fitness classes!), hundreds of societies, and good union for nights out. The city centre also has many clubs and concert venues. The area in which it is located (west end) is mainly students, which makes it a nice place to live in being a student yourself, and has easy access to the rest of the city. Due to the size of the city, it is quite easy to find employment, and as you build your own timetable you can usually work it around a part-time job.

Being part of the University of Glasgow was a truly wonderful experience. Every aspect exceeded my expectations. The academic environment, supportive community, and resources provided enriched my learning journey. The University of Glasgow not only met but surpassed my expectations, making my time there exceptionally rewarding and fulfilling.

I wouldn't have any worse aspects excepting crammed deadlines,which we do get extensions for Amazing teachers ! Superb curriculum Student union people are very approachable and helpful

Enjoyable but challenging. I would encourage future students to be as involved as possible, in and out of your subject area, this makes it easy to meet new people.

Negative in first year, but improving year on year. My halls in first year were a decent commute away, which made attending any less than four lectures a day not worth it. It would take 2 hours total travel time, for sometimes 2 hours lecturing.

The University of Glasgow offers a fantastic study environment with beautiful historic buildings and top-notch academics. The campus is lively and diverse, giving students the chance to meet people from all over the world. There are plenty of support services available, like libraries and counselling, to help students succeed. Plus, there's always something fun to do outside of classes, with lots of clubs and events to get involved in. Still, there's room to improve by updating some facilities, listening to student feedback more closely, and making sure everyone feels included. With these changes, Glasgow could be an even better place to study.
