The study is best, but the class schedules are not good. We are busy for 4or 3 days, that's not fair, it should be only 2 or 3 days.

Best aspect is my course - it’s very well structured and can be altered for those who want industrial or research placements so you can explore future career aspects during your degree. Lecturers aren’t trying to trick you out in exams and such and they help you prepare well for them. Also lecturers are very helpful and hands on in helping you after graduation aswell, whether that’s with further education or your career. The facilities for science especially are very modern. Improvements to be made are more political and relating to the abundance of staff redundancies and funding available for post graduates and the amount of funding put into research. Staff redundancies are recognised by students and it’s very disheartening, and also means remaining staff have overbearing workloads. Funding for postgraduates is very thin and many positions aren’t offered. Research is fundamental for the profile of the university as a whole, other universities in the country achieve ground breaking discoveries and such but Huddersfield is no where near that level. Research also helps with the status of the university relating to becoming more appealing for students looking to go there, so I think more money should definitely be invested in that.

Yes it’s good and I am trying my best to achieve the over grades and handing all my assignments on time . The online teaching been challenging but now it’s got better more creative. Teachers are trying their best to provide the best lesson for us.

After graduating I have moved from Huddersfield to a Russel group university to do further study, at this point I have realised how good Huddersfield is and puts my new uni to shame

It's great! Really enjoy living in this town, also the fact that I live at home is pretty helpful finance-wise. I find my course challenging but I get all needed support from my lecturers. I don't feel greatly prepared for finding a job though, I've got to apply to all placements myself, the uni helps with the cv and covering letter, provides a list of placements.
