Great studying areas and lecturers super kind and helpful. University services are less positive, with most having 2-4 week waiting times.

Studying here is great the campus is lovely with several bars and places to study or meet with others to work collaboratively. The campus has a very homely feel to it and is very clean and tidy and quite scenic

The university's location is very ideal as it's so close to town so as a fresher there were endless opportunities to explore and have fun. The course itself is well balanced with ample time to revise and catch up without feeling too overwhelmed. The worst aspect of my university experience has to be attributed to getting fresher's flu consistently, as well as the fact that York is a tourist town so prices are expensive when going out at night.

The Chemistry department at York is always very supportive and great at making sure everyone integrates in well. The ability to switch between the BSc and MChem routes anytime before the end of the 2nd year is also highly appreciated as many students tend to switch from BSc to MChem.

Personally I've found it a great place to study chemistry as the chemistry buildings are very good especially the laboratory building. I don't have anything to say on how the chemistry department could improve. However, the one aspect that I have found to require improvement is the sport, whether it be at collegiate or university level. Through my experience of playing football for both so far, I have come the have the opinion that they're both quite underfunded with both teams I play for struggling to afford essentials for example the footballs themselves.
