When it comes to how diet and nutrition impact our health and wellbeing, one size does not fit all.

ION’s Cert HE Personalised Diet and Health, validated by the University of Portsmouth, will take you through the principles of personalised, functional nutrition and how they can be used in your professional or personal life.

Through this online course, build the knowledge, understanding and tools to apply personalised nutrition to your work with clients, or to the lives of friends, family and yourself. Learn about food, macro- and micronutrients, dietary analysis, dietary approaches for management of common conditions, and about the boundaries of practice. Add skills to your career portfolio to work in health and fitness environments as an educator, communicator, or to build your own business.

On graduation, have the option to progress onto the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy and train to work in clinical practice as a BANT-registered nutritional therapy practitioner.

Who can apply?

Taught at Level 4, this course is suited to health coaches and healthcare practitioners who wish to add healthy eating and lifestyle knowledge into their existing practice, and to anyone wishing to learn about the impact of diet on health and wellbeing.

Health coaches and healthcare professionals: Help clients and others make informed choices about their diet and lifestyle. Explore the application of a functional medicine (holistic) approach to a personalised real-foods diet. Apply lifestyle information to your work (with clients without diagnosed chronic disease or taking complex medication). Or assist practitioners who manage these clients.

For your own life: Learn about the impact of diet and lifestyle on health and wellbeing, and how they can support you in your own life and support the lives of those around you. Graduate with the knowledge, understanding and tools for an exciting career.
