Canine rehabilitation is widely regarded as one of the fastest growing areas in pet welfare and veterinary practice. The course will develop your understanding of the scientific principles and clinical practice of the prehabilitation techniques for maximum performance and health and rehabilitation techniques for animals post veterinary treatment. It will cover aspects of hydrotherapy and land based rehabilitation in the small animal including the in-patient, the out-patient and the elite athlete.The overall focus of the course would be a holistic approach to maintaining and improving animal health and welfare and therefore would also include the development of positive behavioural modification techniques and therapeutic handling skills to facilitate the rehabilitation process. This course is accredited by the AHPR (Animal Health Professions' Register) and students will be able to gain direct entry to the register following successful completion of the course.
