Carry out your postgraduate research in the only centre in the UK to bring together Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek studies.
Benefit from our range of expertise, which covers the East Mediterranean, the Balkans and the Middle East across a wide range of disciplines, historical periods and divergent cultural traditions.
We offer two postgraduate research-only programmes, whether you are looking to complete your academic studies with a PhD or pursue your research at Masters level.
We encourage you to attend conferences on subjects related to your research interests and to participate in our lively interdisciplinary seminar series (some of which are run by our postgraduates). In addition, our annual postgraduate colloquia provide training in oral presentation skills and the professional dissemination of research within an interdisciplinary environment.
