Develop an understanding of people, their behaviour and wellbeing and how this influences performance in the workplace. Whether you're curious about marketing strategies, organisational development or human resources, our BPS-accredited programme* explores the exciting role of psychology within business contexts. From leadership, team building and motivation, all are important aspects for business to maintain and encourage productivity and further development. You'll learn and critically evaluate the factors that play a key role in fulfilling an efficient and positive environment.
Discover the psychological influences shaping behaviour including biological functions, cognition, individual differences and social development. You will explore the role of scientific evidence in psychological practice, having the opportunity to engage with both qualitative and quantitative research.
With access to various facilities and equipment from virtual reality headsets, brain stimulation equipment and our state of the art Central Science Laboratories, you will have the chance to explore human behaviour both theoretically and practically. As you progress through your degree you will be able to further explore areas of personal interests, enabling you to dig deeper and tailor your degree to your career interests through module selection in your second year.
At Keele, you will advance your professional skills as a researcher and psychologist in the making. Whether you would like to pursue a career in industry or related fields, our programme equips you with core skills in communication, problem-solving and analytical thinking to help prepare you for employment. This involves practical experience with real-world research projects, industry equipment and placement opportunities, enabling you to apply your learning and prepare for a range of careers and/or further study. You will also have the opportunity to study abroad with a partner university, developing global perspectives and cultural awareness.
Work Placement Year
Gain hands-on experience with an optional placement year in between years two and three of your degree programme. This valuable character-building experience will help you to prepare for the workplace by spending a year in industry, developing skills and knowledge, whilst drawing on psychological principles, theories and methods. With this experience, you will become well prepared for employment and strengthen your prospects for life after university.
International Year
Enhance your career prospects with an International Year at one of our partner institutions in between years two and three of your degree programme. This exciting opportunity enables you to explore different cultural perspectives, establish international networks and gain new experiences whilst building your personal and professional attributes, supporting your career prospects.
Our Foundation Year provides an excellent alternative route to Keele, providing a unique opportunity to better prepare for your chosen degree, and with guaranteed entry onto your undergraduate course once you successfully complete your Foundation Year.
