In today's regulatory landscape, corporations require managers versed in business law. This course equips you with both the managerial skills and legal knowledge you need for organisational success. You explore key management areas like marketing, accounting and human resources alongside business law fundamentals, such as contract and intellectual property law. You learn to apply theory to real-world scenarios, becoming an adept manager able to thrive in a broad range of organisational settings.


Professional Practice Year

Take your course over four years and include a Professional Practice Year after your second year of studies. It is an opportunity to apply your learning in the workplace while enhancing your knowledge and skills through fee-free paid practice. It also builds your CV and industry contacts with many students progressing to employment within their practice-year organisation or institution.

- New, state-of-the-art business analytics suite to support data analytics, 'big-data', data mining, digital marketing, SEO and other management skills. - Harvard Business Publishing - international learning resources providing advanced business simulations in areas such as sustainability and digital processes. - Our Reuters trading room, reacting to live ‘stock-market’ data. - Simulated modern Moot Court.- Software includes Microsoft Power BI and Vensim simulation, for analysing complex and messy business problems, plus VR immersive skills practice; access to Sage, Refinitiv Workspace and the econometrics software STATA. - Leading legal research databases used by professionals, including LexisNexis, Westlaw and HeinOnline.

- Learn from research-driven academics actively involved in consultancy work. - Take up opportunities for consultancy experience during the second year of the degree, assisting businesses – from start-ups to established corporations - to solve problems, up-skill and innovate. - Benefit from masterclasses from industry experts so you benefit from their experience and keep at the leading edge in your field. - Attend research events organised by our Centre for Research in Law (CRiL) and guest talks by prestigious speakers, including Members of Parliament, judges and leading legal practitioners from City law firms. - Benefit from field trips to see business management in action at companies such as John Lewis, Volvo, PW Gates Logistics, Luton Recycling and RAJA Packaging. - Access virtual business-management simulation software that allows you to participate in running a business and experience collaborative working.
