UoA offers a 100% online course and this makes it good for part-time study especially if you’re juggling a job and family life. It doesn’t feel like you’re missing anything because there is still enough support given to you by both the course coordinators and the student support services.

Studying at the University of Aberdeen has been such a rewarding experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how friendly and welcoming everyone was — both students and staff. The university has this perfect mix of history and modernity; walking past the beautiful King’s College buildings every day really reminds you that you’re part of a long academic tradition, but the facilities themselves are modern, comfortable, and well-equipped. The Sir Duncan Rice Library, for example, is one of my favourite places on campus, bright, spacious, and a great spot to study or meet friends. Academically, I’ve found the teaching to be really engaging. Most of my lecturers are passionate about their subjects and genuinely care about how students are doing. They’re approachable and open to questions, which makes learning much easier and more enjoyable. I’ve also appreciated the flexibility within my degree, there’s room to explore different modules, and the university encourages independent thinking and research. The student life here is vibrant too. There’s a real sense of community on campus, and it’s easy to meet people from all over the world. The Students’ Union does a great job organising events, and there’s a huge variety of clubs and societies to join, everything from sports teams to cultural groups and volunteering projects. It’s helped me make friends and feel like part of something bigger. Living in Aberdeen itself has been a positive experience as well. The city is friendly, affordable compared to many other UK university cities, and small enough to feel safe and easy to get around, but still full of character. The surrounding area is stunning, if you like nature, beaches, or hiking, there’s so much to explore nearby. If I had to mention one area for improvement, I’d say that sometimes communication between departments and students could be clearer, especially when it comes to timetables or admin updates. It’s not a huge issue, but it can occasionally cause confusion. Also, being in the north of Scotland means the weather isn’t always great, it can be cold and windy, but you quickly get used to it, and the warmth of the community more than makes up for it! Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my time at the University of Aberdeen. It’s a place where you can grow academically and personally, surrounded by supportive people in a beautiful and inspiring setting. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a university that combines high-quality teaching, a strong sense of community, and a truly memorable student experience.

I’m currently completing my Master’s degree at the University of Aberdeen, and overall, my experience has been incredibly positive. The university offers a great balance between academic quality and student well-being. My lecturers are very supportive, approachable, and genuinely care about students’ progress — something that makes a huge difference, especially for international students. The campus facilities are excellent. The Sir Duncan Rice Library is one of my favourite places — modern, quiet, and full of resources. There are plenty of study spaces, cafés, and areas to relax, which create a really welcoming environment. The IT systems and online learning platforms are easy to use and reliable too. In terms of student support, the staff are always ready to help — whether it’s academic guidance, visa advice, or mental health support. The international office, in particular, is fantastic and makes settling in much easier. Aberdeen itself is a lovely city — safe, peaceful, and full of charm. It’s the perfect place to focus on studies while still enjoying nature and culture. I’d definitely recommend the University of Aberdeen to anyone looking for a high-quality education and a friendly community.

The professors and staff are very friendly and kind and always their to help me, the university system always kept us interactive during our lectures, I enjoying here and the duration of the semester can be increased as it feel like everything is very fast and sometime you couldn't take up the knowledge in the given time you want to gain it.

Studying at the University of Aberdeen has been a very rewarding experience overall. One of the best things about the university is how well students are supported, both academically and personally. The facilities on campus are excellent. I have found everything I needed to support my studies and personal comfort. For example, I once had an unexpected moment during my monthly cycle and was genuinely impressed by how easy it was to access sanitary pads and even wash and dry my clothes in the restroom. It might seem like a small thing, but it showed how thoughtful and student-friendly the university is. Another thing I appreciate is the free student bus service. It makes commuting between the accommodation and the campus so much easier, especially during winter or on days when classes run late. It is a big help and something many other universities do not offer. Academically, the university provides a high standard of teaching. The lecturers are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely want students to succeed. I have had great interactions with staff, and the learning environment feels inclusive and supportive. The resources in the library, access to journals, online materials, and learning tools are also top-notch. There is a healthy mix of international students as well, which adds to the richness of the learning experience. You get to meet people from all over the world and learn about different cultures, even outside the classroom. The University of Aberdeen provides a wide range of support services, which is a huge advantage, especially for international students. From academic help to mental health resources, visa guidance, and financial advice, students have access to the support they need to succeed. The difference in programme structure between the January and September intakes is well designed to avoid delays; one group starts with coursework, the other with research, allowing flexibility in start dates. However, clearer communication about this structure before and during orientation would help students understand what to expect early on. Another benefit is the availability of student discounts and food outlets on campus. To make this even more impactful, it would be great if more affordable options were introduced or if existing discounts were extended further. With the rising cost of living, especially for international students, small financial supports like these go a long way in easing daily expenses. Overall, I have enjoyed my time at the University of Aberdeen. It is a safe, welcoming, and well-equipped place to study, with dedicated staff and a great learning environment. I will happily recommend it to anyone considering university life here.
