Youll study key areas of business including marketing, leadership, human resource management, strategy and business operations. The programme will develop your grasp of economic theories, the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics and the different economic growth strategies and polices. Through economic analysis, strategic planning, and risk management, as well as exposure to cutting-edge technologies and economic models, youll acquire the skills to excel in your chosen career.

Foundation Year:

Our Foundation Year provides an excellent alternative route to Keele, providing a unique opportunity to better prepare for your chosen degree, and with guaranteed entry onto your undergraduate course once you successfully complete your Foundation Year.

This extra year of study can improve your academic skills, expand your subject knowledge, give you a better understanding of higher education and, perhaps most importantly of all, build your confidence.

Work placement year

In an increasingly competitive job market, employers are seeking to recruit employees who have high-level knowledge, skills and an understanding of the workplace. Choosing a work placement year between your second and third year is a fantastic way to gain industry experience. It can provide a valuable insight into what working in a specific area of business is like, and gives you the chance to familiarise yourself with the professional working environment and develop professional networks. A work placement also provides you with the opportunity to apply the theory you have learnt on your degree course.

International year

In between years two and three of your studies you can choose to spend a year or a semester studying abroad. This exciting opportunity enables you to understand your field from different cultural perspectives and to establish international networks.

It also shows you have the personal attributes to embrace new experiences which can enhance your employability. We offer exchange opportunities with a wide variety of partner institutions.

Entrepreneurship year

Showcase your innovative abilities and ideas to develop your business aspirations. If you have ever wanted to establish your own start-up or have been inspired by your studies this entrepreneurship year is an amazing opportunity to develop your own business idea.

The entrepreneurship pathway is available to UK and international students. For international students, the availability of the entrepreneurship pathway is subject to the latest visa regulations.

Your future career

The business know-how and grounding in economics youll receive in this programme will perfectly set you up with a package of skills that are highly valued by employers. You will have developed a wide set of skills, including improved critical thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset, and enhanced communication abilities. Your personal and professional development will have matured through our Professional and Academic Development Programme, resulting in you graduating with the resources to succeed in areas such as finance, consulting, government policy, international organisations and corporate management.
