Business economics is the study of economic concepts of relevance to modern business, to develop a sound understanding of the resource allocation issues facing the business corporation and the environment in which it operates. You will study the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, but you will also have the opportunity to apply economic concepts and models specifically to the decisions facing businesses. Economics at Glasgow dates back to Adam Smith, who was a Professor at the University in the 18th century and is widely renowned as the father of modern economics. Triple-crown accreditation puts the Adam Smith Business School in the top league of international business schools.
POLITICS: -Politics is the study of the way power and influence are distributed within society and how this affects decision making within and among countries and states. You will study a wide variety of topics within the discipline of politics including courses in international relations, political theory and British politics taught by leading researchers in the field.
