University of Portsmouth is a great university for studying as it offers a lot of support for students, the location is central to the city with good bus links, teams for support are helpful and the student union has year round functions and offers support, the library is good with good support available for students, the only downside is the buildings although relatively close still require walking - which can be annoying when the weather is bad.

Good array of learning and development opportunities with great guidance along the way. Way to improve better internal communication.

I am a particularly sporty individual, and Portsmouth offer a multitude of sporting facilities, activities and clubs. Through joining these sporting societies I have been lucky enough to meet friends that I can depend on and will be close for a long time after university. As an international student that lives far from home and cant afford to go home during university breaks and holidays, the city gets very boring and lifeless during times like Christmas or easter as the majority of students have a home to head back to. Obviously this is nothing that the university can mitigate, but it is just a point for international students. After asking around, I've grown to understand that it is not myself that thinks the Student Union has a lot of development and growth potential. To this day many of us have never stepped foot in the Union, unless you enjoy the vintage kilo sales or need to go in for your identity verification. Moving on to the campus, the university is a city campus, but despite this, there still is a feel of identity amongst the student areas given they are not too far from each other. In my view, I particularly like the feeling of being in the centre of the city, rather than the outskirts in a campus university as there are lots of activities and you get to meet individuals a diverse range of individuals. As for student life, and socials, there is not an incredible amount that is offered that doesn't include drinking. However, I'm sure this is an issue amongst many other universities. I encourage this university and other universities to promote activities and events that attract a diverse range of students, including those of religious backgrounds.

The University of Portsmouth is a great place to study because it combines supportive lecturers, a welcoming community, and hands-on, career-focused learning that genuinely prepares students for the future. The campus and city create a friendly, motivating environment where it’s easy to feel at home.

Best experience is study environment is friendly. Lectures are helped students to improve their knowledge and understand new culture. University staff listen students problems and try to solve the student problems.
