These could be in functional areas such as human resource management, finance, operations and strategic development or in specific themes such as sustainable business, data analytics for decision making, international management, leadership and digital transformation. Topics could be formed to investigate management at an organisational, regional and/or national level, as well as in private, public or third sector organisations. The subject area is broad with a wide variety of projects available e.g. public/private partnerships, labour migration, and consumer behaviour.You may adopt a variety of methodological approaches, both quantitative and qualitative, as part of your research. Study in this area helps develop many of the core competencies required by organisationsOur research programmes will prepare you for a rewarding career as an academic and researcher, as well as opening up opportunities for a diverse range of careers outside of academia.MPhil normally 2 years full-time
The minimum entry requirement for all our research degrees is an Upper Second Class Honours degree (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in an appropriate discipline and/or a Masters degree. In some cases, appropriate professional or experiential learning may be considered in combination with a lower classification of Honours degree.
