This course is offered by one of the university's partner colleges, London South East Colleges, on its Holly Hill Campus.
This programme is designed to provide you with a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and up to date statutory requirements for buildings of all classes and to prepare you for managerial employment in the construction industry. It consists of a combination of core and optional courses that provide appropriate training for employment in the field of Contracts Manager, Property Manager, Building Contractor, Project Manager and Construction Manager.
You will study a range of courses that will give you a broad and balanced knowledge of building surveying role within the construction industry. You will develop practical skills relating to the principles and practice of land surveying and setting out, scales and proportions besides plan space for new uses within the restriction of an existing shell, the principles of Whole Life Cycle Costing and its impact on the design of a project and much more.
The courses have been designed to include a high level of academic and practical elements. Enrolment on the programme entitles you to become a student member of the CIOB, RICS. The programme is also recognised nationally and internationally by employers in the construction industry.
