On our HNC Ceramics course you will develop a wide range of practical clay construction, mould making and digital design skills, inspired and guided by a team of subject specialist tutors. Our small group sizes ensure maximum contact time with tutors, fostering opportunity for each student to push the boundaries of personal creativity. To ensure you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular and detailed feedback in a constructive and supportive environment, as well as specialist technician support and group critiques. At Morley College Waterloo our HNC/HND ceramics, mould-making and design studios include industry-standard equipment to enable students to explore technologies and gain hands on knowledge of ceramic materials and techniques. We also have stimulating and inspirational program of visiting designer-makers and guest lecturers to expose students to a range of creative techniques and career possibilities, gaining real-life knowledge and understanding. Students have opportunities to exhibit work throughout the year as well as the end of year exhibition, which celebrates student achievements. At the end of the year students will have achieved a Pearson Level 4 Higher National Certificate in 3D Design; the Ceramics Pathway and will have a wide-ranging portfolio from which to begin a creative career path. We would highly recommend a progression on to the level 5 HND Ceramics course at Morley College.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
