Who is this course for?
We are looking for able and motivated, high-calibre students from within UK or overseas.
This course will equip you with a thorough understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices. Youll learn how to analyse data relating to land, buildings or construction, follow due diligence in providing advice to clients, make detailed inspections of buildings, land or construction and subsequently analyse information from your inspections of or visits to buildings, land and construction sites.
Professional qualifications
On successful completion of the course you will achieve full chartered membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Future careers and job role
Youll graduate with a specialist skill set that will enable you to carry out a range of duties within the construction industry, from site-based quantity surveying to estimating and management roles.
This Degree Apprenticeship leads to three distinct pathways:
Building Surveying: providing professional advice on buildings and construction, ranging from city office blocks and skyscrapers to home extensions. Undertaking detailed surveys of buildings identifying defects and advising on repair, maintenance and restoration options.
Quantity Surveying and Project Management: negotiating contracts and prices, assessing, evaluating and managing construction projects to ensure the best value for money and quality including life cycle costing, cost planning, procurement and tendering, contract administration and commercial management.
Property: valuing (including inspecting and measuring), managing, buying, selling, developing and leasing land and property.
