Our Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship will equip you with the knowledge and skills to succeed in your career as a Physiotherapist.

As a physiotherapist, you will help improve the quality of life for people who are injured, ill, or living with disabilities.

You will do this through a combination of patient-centred manual therapy, movement, exercise, and education. In your varied and rewarding role, you will help patients achieve better health outcomes and recover from illnesses and injuries. You will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including the NHS, care homes, and sports centres.

This degree apprenticeship is Level 6 and the standard can be found here on the Institute for Apprenticeships website. It is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council.

To be eligible, you must be employed in an appropriate position for the entire duration of the degree apprenticeship programme, including your end-point assessment.

What you will study

During your programme, you will explore a full range of subject areas, such as:

  • Anatomy
  • Biomechanics/kinesiology
  • Pathology
  • Pharmacology
  • Physiology.

How you will learn

Teaching

Learning takes place through a combination of timetabled learning and independent study.

You can view more information about how each module is taught within our 'What you will study' section.

Seminars and workshops enable you to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller groups. You will also be able to meet your personal tutor. Timetabled learning may fall between 9am and 9pm depending on your courses and tutorials.
