This programme is for you if you are an international student who has successfully completed 2 or 3 years of degree studies in criminology or psychology (to HND or associate degree level), and you wish to complete your degree studies in the UK. It explores the practical interplay between the two disciplines.

It is specifically designed for international students who wish to continue their studies at final year honours level in the UK whilst also developing academic and vocational English-medium skills.

You will adjust to studying in the UK as you earn a full honours degree and develop the skills and knowledge needed to continue to further postgraduate study in English or English-medium work.This degree prepares you for further study at masters level in the UK. 

On this programme you will:

  • Develop the academic and communication skills you need to perform at postgraduate level in English or in a criminology role which needs English.
  • Gain knowledge of key issues and debates, consider how society manages crime and criminals, and explore the broad concepts that underpin human rights, diversity, and duty of care. 
  • Develop your personal and academic English language skills.
  • Gain confidence and experience at functioning in English-medium academic and vocational environments.
  • Learn to conduct independent research projects and to evaluate research in your field so that you are ready for postgraduate study in English.
