How easily accessible support is .Very clear were to go to access specific support which you may need.Designated study spaces to work individually as well as with groups outside of lecture / class time with writing boards to put ideas down.The worst maybe when there are multiple assignments due within the same week , close together

My university has a great atmosphere and environment, the staff is very supportive and friendly. The facilities are modern and there are alot of opportunities to be involved. There are alot of different societies which hold fun and exciting events and there also many other enjoyable activities to do.

Unfortunately, my experience with this master’s course has been disappointing and did not meet my expectations for a postgraduate-level program. Firstly, the online learning platform (Moodle) was poorly organized, confusing to navigate, and made it unnecessarily difficult to find essential course materials. I often spent an excessive amount of time simply trying to locate documents, which added frustration to the learning experience. The course delivery itself was uninspiring and lacked engagement. Most sessions consisted of basic PowerPoint slides with lecturers speaking at us, offering little to no opportunities for interactive discussions or collaborative learning. This made the content feel monotonous and disconnected from practical application. Additionally, during a critical period when I was preparing to submit an important assessment, I encountered technical issues with the required software, which was not compatible with Mac computers. When I sought assistance from a lecturer, I received a blunt and dismissive response stating, “this is why we have in-person sessions,” and they unnecessarily cc’d other lecturers in the email. This response made me feel uncomfortable, particularly since I had attended nearly every in-person session throughout the course. It is also worth highlighting that the specific software was only available in one computer lab in the new building, making it inaccessible to many students and creating an unfair situation for those using Macs. Another major issue was the scheduling of classes exclusively between 5pm and 8pm. These awkward hours significantly disrupted my daily routine, making it impossible to commit to part-time work and other responsibilities. The lecturers themselves often appeared fatigued from teaching all day and would openly complain about the timing, which further impacted the quality of teaching. Overall, the combination of poor course organization, disengaging delivery methods, lack of support, technical unfairness, and inconvenient scheduling made this course a frustrating experience that did not reflect the standards I expected at the master’s level.

Mmu has strong academic reputation, excellent industry links like Siemens and employability . They have cutting edge facilities: state of the art labs are amazing! I love their commitment to sustainability; they are ranked as one of the best. The university could be improved : They need to improve in library services They need to have more rooms for studying They definitely would need more pc rooms! As they are always occupied when I need one, especially during exam times The library needs to get the books back in ; the books gave the library character and a reason for student to come to the library Other than this, Mmu is amazing!

The location is great, the professors/supervisors are very helpful. One thing that would be better is if there was a carpark for students, it would make it much easier for people who hate travelling on public transport like trains.
