This qualification is being co-delivered with the apprenticeship route, but this option is for those not already employed in industry.A laboratory scientist applies specialist knowledge and broad scientific understanding to carry out a range of technical and scientific activities in their specialist discipline: Life sciences, biological sciences etc. After completing their BSc degree students will be able to apply for Pharmaceutical, NHS or Research laboratory positions.This award is validated by The Open University.
