The Honours Degree in Sustainable Agri Food Management is validated by Ulster University. This Honours Degree is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to enter an exciting, competitive, global agri-food industry at graduate management level. This integrated programme will develop graduates with a broad understanding of the agri-food supply chain to meet current and future challenges within the industry in relation to traceability, sustainability and logistics. This programme is ideal for someone with an interest in business management, agri food supply chain management, sustainability and the wider agri food sector. The programme will include elements of primary production (horticulture and agriculture), food manufacture and food quality as well as modules focussing on developing knowledge of the supply chain and strategic management. It will also develop professional skills to allow graduates to become confident, resilient and professional as they lead, anticipate and react to change in the agri – food industry. CAFRE has superb industry connections and help students to secure quality work placements which they undertake in Year 3 of the programme. These placements often lead to high quality manager/ trainee manager posts. CAFRE is uniquely placed to deliver an integrated agri-food programme building on many years’ experience in delivering programmes in the agriculture and food specialist areas and access to state-of-the art facilities for educational purposes.The course will be delivered at Loughry Campus, which is based 2 miles outside Cookstown in Co. Tyrone, with staff from both agriculture and food specialisms. CAFRE Loughry Campus offers full-time and part-time courses in Food to educate new entrants and support staff working within the agri-food sector to improve business efficiency. One of the great things about CAFRE is that each of our three campuses deliver a specific range of courses and has the specialist facilities to match. We are continually investing in our staff, buildings, equipment and resources so you can get the most out of your time with us.

Applicants must satisfy Ulster University’s general entry requirements as set out in the prospectus. Applicants should normally have 96 UCAS tariff points at A2 Level, including a Grade C or higher in either Business or a Science-related subject*. In addition, Applicants must have achieved GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or equivalent and GCSE Science at Grade C or higher. An equivalent standard in an approved alternative qualification may be accepted.
