The studying is fantastic and I like the schools facilities, they're great and user friendly. No worst moments for now and no regrets.

Best aspect: I really appreciated the supportive lecturers and the sense of community on campus. The resources for study and wellbeing were easy to access and genuinely helpful. Worst aspect: Sometimes communication about deadlines or course changes wasn’t very clear, and a few administrative processes felt slow or confusing.

I hope you all are well!! Roehampton is a really nice place to study. There’s a strong sense of community and the campus is beautiful with lots of green areas where you can relax or study. The lecturers are friendly and supportive, and they really care about how their students are doing. There are also plenty of clubs, societies, and events to get involved in, which makes it easy to meet new people and feel part of the university. The University of Roehampton, located in southwest London, offers a blend of academic rigor, community support, and a picturesque setting, making it an attractive place for many students. Its beautiful campus, nestled within 54 acres of parkland, provides a serene, nature-filled environment, which contrasts with the typical urban setting of many London universities. The campus’s proximity to Richmond Park and the ease of access to central London through public transport enhance the overall student experience. This location offers students the peace of a more suburban setting while maintaining access to the city’s vibrant social, cultural, and professional opportunities. Additionally, Roehampton is known for its close-knit, supportive community. Due to its smaller size, students often enjoy more personalized interactions with professors and staff. The university fosters an inclusive atmosphere, with a diverse student body that reflects a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, contributing to a rich, collaborative learning environment. Roehampton also prioritizes student well-being, providing a range of services aimed at supporting mental health, academic success, and career development. However, despite these many positive aspects, there are several areas where Roehampton could improve. One of the main drawbacks students often highlight is the university’s aging infrastructure. While the campus itself is lovely, some buildings and facilities, such as the library and sports centers, are in need of modernization. The library can be overcrowded during peak times, and many students feel the sports facilities don’t meet the demand or quality expected from a modern university. Furthermore, while Roehampton offers a peaceful atmosphere, some students find the social scene to be quieter compared to larger universities, particularly those in central London. Although there are various clubs and societies, there is sometimes a feeling that the campus lacks the vibrant, bustling social life found at other institutions. Another issue raised by students is the transportation challenges. While the campus is well-connected by bus, the nearest tube station is a bit farther, and some students find the commute to be time-consuming. Additionally, the cost of living in southwest London, though slightly cheaper than central London, remains relatively high compared to other regions of the UK, which can place financial pressure on students. Finally, while Roehampton offers a range of courses, it may not have the same breadth of offerings or academic prestige as larger, more established universities, particularly in specialized fields. To improve, Roehampton could focus on modernizing its facilities, especially the library, study spaces, and sports facilities. Strengthening its career networks and offering more opportunities for internships and industry connections would also benefit students as they prepare for life after graduation. Expanding the social scene with more events, both on-campus and in nearby areas, would help create a livelier atmosphere and give students more opportunities to connect outside of the classroom. Lastly, improving public transport links and further reducing the cost of living for students would make the university more accessible to a wider range of individuals. Despite these areas for improvement, Roehampton offers a supportive, inclusive, and beautiful environment for students, with a strong emphasis on well-being, which makes it a great choice for many.

I love the campus which equally balances the nature and modern city vibes which is perfect. As well as the quick responses to our concerns are remarkable. The staffs are friendly and the professors know what they are doing. I personally feel like the inclusion of international students in events and committees are not well informed.
