Study human health and the causes, prevention and treatment of disease, studied from the molecular details in the body to the symptoms and pathology of diseases. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be a part of the next generation of biomedical research scientists. Youll learn to apply biological sciences to explore human health and the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases such as cancer and Parkinsons disease. You'll study a broad range of topics including genetics, genomics, human physiology, cancer, pathology, infection and immunity, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and pharmacology.

AA in two Advanced Highers including Biology and Chemistry.We make offers based on Advanced Highers. You will typically be expected to have completed five Scottish Highers and your grades in these will be considered as part of your application. We prefer applicants who have achieved at least AAAAB in their Highers.
A pass in the Access to HE Diploma (in Science or Science and Engineering), with at least 36 credits achieved at Distinction and 3 credits achieved at Merit or above. This must include at least 30 credits achieved at Distinction from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) units, of which at least 9 credits must be from Biology units and 9 credits must be from Chemistry units (excluding Biochemistry).

If you are not studying Biology at Higher Level and you are taking it at Standard Level we may be able to consider you.
