The placement within the NHS allows you to progress onto the BSc Applied Biomedical Science course, and upon graduation you can apply for state registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the HCPC. The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree is formally accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).Upon graduation you will have an excellent foundation for future study or research, as well as possessing a range of strong transferable skills applicable to biomedical science and many other professions. You will also have developed skills such as critical thinking, group work, negotiation, data handling, problem solving, independent learning and communication. Your skills from this biomedical science degree can be applied to a range of careers such as Analytical Chemist, Biomedical Scientist, Toxicologist and Medicinal Chemist.
