Biomedical Science is the integrative scientific study of biological issues related to the support of the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions that affect peoples’ quality of life and it is a well-recognised, evidence inform and valued profession that encompasses a holistic and life-span approach to the provision of diagnostic, assessment and intervention.

This course will explore the theoretical and practical aspects of Clinical Biochemistry within the context of diagnostic and investigative discipline of Biomedical Science using a blended and integrated learning approach that utilises a mix of on-campus teaching and online learning approaches. This innovative approach would further support the development of your learning experience alongside the delivery of key practical laboratory skills and your professional practice development.

BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE (CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY) EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

This course has been designed to provide you with a challenging, but enriching, academic experience that is geared towards you developing a career in Biomedical Sciences and the Life Science sectors.

This course will equip graduates with the attributes and abilities to undertake continued study, highly skilled employment or gain access to the professions. This will include healthcare, biomedical science and life sciences in Wales and beyond.

By instilling both biomedical scientific skills and transferable professional practice attributes, the course will provide strong foundations that could improve employment prospects and prepare you as graduates for life-long learning via continued professional development.
