The campus is located very close to Falmer station and has quick and easy bus routes into Brighton which is handy. There are always fun events happening run by the students union. There is always support available from your academic tutor and subject leaders too.

Overall, studying Neuroscience at my university has been a genuinely positive experience, especially as an international student adjusting to a new academic environment. One of the things I appreciate the most is the campus itself — it’s spacious, green, and easy to navigate, which makes everyday life feel a little calmer. The academic facilities are generally reliable, and I’ve been able to access the equipment and study spaces I need without too much difficulty. The teaching quality in my course has also been a strong point. My lecturers communicate complex concepts clearly, and most of them are approachable when I need clarification or support. When the learning works well, it really feels like the university is invested in helping us grow as independent researchers. That said, there are still areas that could be improved. Student support can feel slow or inconsistent at times, and as someone who joined through direct entry, I occasionally felt like I had to figure things out on my own. It would help if information and guidance were more streamlined, especially for students who didn’t come through the typical first-year route. The Students’ Union also has room to be more engaging and visible — sometimes it feels disconnected from the academic side of student life. Even with these challenges, my overall experience has been meaningful. I’ve met supportive classmates, learned from passionate academics, and found a sense of direction in my studies. With a bit more investment in communication and student services, I think the university could become an even more supportive place to study and live.

its a great and friendly place and i love when there is a big campus and every building in a same place (i can walk to my class from my accomadation) i dont have a worst aspect actually everyhing generally alright

In a nice area with friendly and open faculty and students. Due to being surrounded by a national park, the atmosphere is very relaxed which helps with managing stress.

I think i would say i definitely love how diverse the uni is in aspects of international students , I've made some really amazing helpful relationships with some of the professors. I would say what I particularly dont like of the uni is support on getting internships in general or helping in building experience such as labs
