As an international student from Nepal, I had high expectations about the life I would have as a student at University of the West of England (UWE), and everything has turned out even better than I imagined. I truly love my university and the people here, especially my professors, who are always cheerful, supportive, and helpful. At first, I faced some difficulties in keeping up with lectures and fully understanding the content, but over time I adapted and now find it much easier. I am really enjoying my learning experience. Studying Biomedical Science at UWE is exactly what I needed to follow my career path and secure my future. Apart from academics, the seminars and webinars related to career development, the wide range of opportunities provided by UWE, and the various programs organized by the Students’ Union make university life even more exciting. These activities are not only helpful for professional growth but also fun and engaging, creating a well-rounded and memorable student experience.

One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the supportive learning environment. Many lecturers are knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to help outside of scheduled teaching hours, which makes a real difference to understanding challenging topics. The university also offers good academic resources, such as online learning materials, library access, and study spaces, which support independent learning. I have also valued the diversity of students, as it creates an inclusive atmosphere and allows me to learn from different perspectives. Group work and practical sessions have helped me develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are useful beyond university. However, there are also areas that could be improved. At times, communication around assessments, deadlines, or timetable changes could be clearer and more consistent across modules. Some feedback on coursework can feel brief or delayed, making it harder to understand how to improve for future assessments. In addition, workload can occasionally feel uneven, with multiple deadlines clustered together, which can be stressful. Improving coordination between modules, providing more detailed feedback, and offering additional wellbeing and academic support during busy periods would further enhance the student experience and make the university an even better place to study.

Overall my experience at UWE:- -Quality of teaching -I appreciate the practical , real world focus of the biomedical science. - Provides an excellent , modern student environment with plenty of space and accessible technology. -The student union events fosters a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

Overall, it is a very good university which doesn't lack any aspect behind when providing facilities to student and has very friendly environment.

Best aspects: excellent facilities on campus, well-equipped with everything I need, such as comfortable study spaces, areas to relax, printing services, easy access to computers, and more. The overall environment feels modern and supportive. Staff are also very helpful, email responses are quick, and the process was smooth. Worst aspects: the campus layout can sometimes be confusing. I occasionally get lost inside some of the buildings, which can be a bit frustrating. Maps of classrooms in each building will be helpful.
