Fantastic and life-changing! I've not just gone to a university to study a four year language degree. I've travelled more of the world than I thought I might ever do a few years ago, made amazingly close friends, developed myself in terms of my professional life so much more than I would've anywhere else. The course is something that excites me so much. Being just about to go abroad for my year abroad is thrilling knowing I'll be able to use everything I've learnt here. All of a sudden being studying Chinese in China having not spoken a word three years ago and working as a translator in a German publishing house having started learning the language in a woman's kitchen after school. This place has made me.

I was a little apprehensive before coming to university but while I've been here I felt as though I've made a lot of progress in terms of both my academic studies as well as personal development. It hasn't been all hard graft either, I've really enjoyed my time here at Bangor so far and this semester is shaping up to be just good if not better than the last.

Loving it. It has been easy to get out and meet new people. The clubs have welcomed me and allowed me to try out new hobbies that I enjoy immensely. The teaching standard is high and they have been very accommodating with some specific educational needs. Lastly, the accommodation is excellent and feels very homely.

I absolutely loved first year in Bangor, it was so much fun. I made so many amazing friends and even got to go to Cardiff with St. John’s on a first aid duty which was an amazing opportunity. Bangor is a nice small city so that made adjusting to living away from home a lot easier. I enjoyed my lectures a lot, and was excited to be learning Chinese. Being at university I feel like has helped me grow in confidence and more so because the uni is quite small, and I often find myself now stepping out of my comfort zone. I’m now in second year and I’m still loving university and the experience. The lectures are still just as enjoyable as last year. And I’m currently planning my year abroad, which is very exciting and I’ve been getting a lot of help and support with this through the university. Overall i would say that my university experience so far has exceeded my expectations. I’ve gone from being the girl who didn’t want her mum to leave despite saying I wouldn’t get upset during the lead up to leaving. To being much more confident and out going thanks to the help of societies, friends and lecturers
