The foundation of your future

There's more than one way into a successful career in civil engineering. If you don't meet the entry requirements for our BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering programme but you have the experience, maturity and determination to work in the sector, then this course is for you.

This foundation year isnt a freestanding degree - but its the perfect preparation for one. Think of it as the first year in a four-year period of studying that will lead to the BEng Civil Engineering degree at LSBU (upon successful completion of the foundation year).

We can help you develop contacts in SMEs and larger construction companies through our annual careers fair, and the feedback from students and industrial partners is always very positive. Our partners who attend the careers fair are actively recruiting graduates, and many of our students get job offers as a result.
