The courses are designed to afford students the opportunity: to acquire full fluency in spoken Irish and accuracy in written Irish; to develop an appreciation of the Irish language, its literature and its attendant cultural heritage; for BEd students, learn to teach Irish effectively at both primary and post-primary levels and in Irish-medium education.
