On this undergraduate English and creative writing course, you'll master the craft of writing across a range of exciting genres. This includes science fiction and fantasy to horror, crime, and children's literature. Through hands-on practice, you'll produce original work using creative writing techniques. Create your own short stories, poetry, and scripts, while experimenting with diverse forms and voices.
You'll study either English literature or English language alongside creative writing on this degree. If you choose English literature, youll delve into classic and contemporary works. You will study periods like the Renaissance, Romanticism, Gothic, and modern literature.
With English language, you'll explore the unique stylistic choices that define an authors voice. You will uncover hidden layers of meaning in literature, newspapers, and adverts. Discover how to harness sound and structure to amplify your writing's impact.
