University of Plymouth

The university is always upgrading it's facilities, with the completion of the marine building, Babbage STEM Facilities, and Fitzroy building for the business school. Unfortunately, it isn't always clear what facilities are available to students and how you can book spaces for study or research. The main campus directly between the city centre (2 minutes walk), student accommodation (2-15 minute walk) and train station (10 minute walk). The quality of student support varies. With a personal tutor for every 5-10 students, the careers office and mental health department, there is always someone you can go to but it can be difficult to find who you should talk to. The look and feel of a campus is largely subjective. The University of Plymouth offers a fairly modern campus with renovations taking place to introduce green space by summer/autumn 2025. The Student Union is in the centre of the main campus and all buildings are well kept. There are many societies and sports teams to join and many events organised by the SU and Faculties for students to take part in. Personally, I haven't had much contact with the student union but from what I hear, they are incredibly helpful, offer a range of services and plan many events throughout the year.

I find the academic environment impeccable, complemented by top-notch facilities. The university's supportive community and effective services leave little room for improvement, creating an ideal setting for focused and successful studies.

It's in a good location close to the city centre and the hoe. Some of the buildings are pretty dull and not nice to be in
