• This programme equips you with the skills to pursue a career within biological sciencesincluding molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology.
• You’ll receive hands-on training in biological disciplines before progressing to study more specialised and advanced bioscience topics.
• Work-related learning, combined with access to UWS’s state-of-the-art laboratories, will prepare you for a wide range of career options.
• This programme is fully accredited by the Royal Society of Biology and you will be eligible for free membership to the Society throughout all years of your studies.Programme detailsWork-related learning is available on this programme, including an optional 12-week placement or one-year sandwich placement.Students have undertaken placements with organisations such as:

• Controlled Therapeutics (Scotland) LtdCareersThis programme will prepare you for a successful career in Applied Bioscience and develops graduate skills which equip students to enter a wide range of vocations, including:

• SalesMSc or PhD options are also available for graduates. This qualification is acceptable to all Schools of Education as an entry qualification to the Postgraduate Diploma in Education for Biology and General Science teaching.
