University of Greenwich

What makes the University of Greenwich a great place to study Animation is the tutors who are always there to teach us new lessons and are always there to support us and make sure we succeed. Also, we get software licences so we can do the work at home, and there are lots of opportunities in the course. Plus, the area in Greenwich is a good place to look around on our break, and there are some great clubs to join and make some friends.

What I greatly love about unis is the fact that everyone is more of a family. The support from your peers as well as the lecturers are what makes the University of Greenwich the place to be. If my son or daughter where to study university I would definitely recommend this university. One thing which I do sometimes find a bit annoying is some of the softwares they use. I do animation and zbrush (a software) is paid and I do live the process of using zbrush. Its a shame because I would commute 2h from home to school just to use zbrush. I wish there was a free version that the university would teach for people who dont have mone to splash. But on a whole its the best place to be and it makes me want to spend more time being apart of this university.

I don't feel like I fit in, as I am much older than most of my classmates. Maybe it's just previous trauma, but I don't necessarily feel welcome in a school setting. During breaks, it's hard to find seats and places to sit down by myself and eat. I miss quiet, isolated seating at the university. They offer counselling, but I'm just not comfortable talking over the phone or on video calls. This makes it feel less personal. Sometimes the workload seems unrealistically too much. As someone who has worked before, the school workload seems unrealistic. It doesn't even allow poor students to work because they must sacrifice their studies or meals to get by. Or their sleep. Overall, the lecturers try to do their absolute best to support students. The campuses are well-facilitated and have the latest and best technology available. They even provide transportation from different campuses. My only problem is that if we have to pay so much for the university, why do we have to pay for the transportation as well if we use the university's buses? It should be included.
