The BA(Hons) Animation course equips students with essential skills for a career in animation. The course covers both traditional and digital animation techniques, including 2D and 3D animation, character design, and storyboarding. Students will learn about the entire animation production process, from concept to final output, and gain a thorough understanding of the industry’s methodologies and business practices. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for diverse roles in the animation industry, ensuring they are well-versed in both the creative and technical aspects of animation. The course is implemented using a Universal Design for Learning framework, which promotes inclusive education and accommodates the diverse needs of all students.

The course focuses on three key disciplines within the animation and visual effects industry. Core 2D and 3D art skills are developed through specializations in performance-based animation for film and tv - 2D and 3D Animation- Character Design and Rigging- Performance based animation for Film and TV and State Machine based animation for GamesStudents are also encouraged to explore related fields such as Character Sculpting, Screenwriting and Creature Animation fostering collaboration across creative technology disciplines.
