The FdSc in Animal Therapy and Rehabilitation is designed to prepare you for a career in the animal complimentary physical therapy and rehabilitation industry. The first year provides a wide background in animal science and utilises the animal facilities to develop your animal handling and management skills. The second year focuses on developing your knowledge of the principles and application of therapy techniques in a wide range of therapies, developing your practical skills, including utilising the onsite, canine hydrotherapy facilities. On completing this course, you may progress on to our BSc top-up course or move into employment in this rapidly growing industry. This course is for people who might have current or previous experience working with animals. However, we also welcome applications from those of you with a desire to gain qualifications which would equip you to work in an animal therapy related industry.
