Strong student support for any issues you may face. Very nice campus, well-maintained, as well as facilities such as loan computers easy to access. Recent issues with housing, including mould and infestations, have been reported in the student bulletin, though.

Campus lovely and lectures great . Cannot recommend it enough. Worst is probably due to it being a sports uni, to get into most of the sporting club is really difficult. So your average person that does a sport for fun and not competitively may be left out!

The location is very good, and many of the lecturers are lovely. From what I hear from other unis, Stirling could be a lot worse at student support, and structuring of courses, but it does become clear over time that they prioritise their sports courses and facilities most, over all else. If you want to study a sports degree here, and/or want to seriously join a team sports society, then I guess this is the uni for you. If you like cheaper (but not necessarily hygienic) student accommodations, and a nice central location in Scotland, then this probably is too. Don't join if music is your top passion, there are no orchestras (Aberdeen has two!) or bands. If you want to work in Aquaculture, the uni does also fund post graduate courses in that area, but location wise you're a bit SOOL for Marine Biology type stuff, given that we're nowhere near the sea. If your top priority is academics, and you want the best of the best, maybe try St Andrews, Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow instead.

The campus is great, especially the natural landscapes. Walking around on campus is a great way to relax. Teaching staff and student support is great as well. Unfortunately, this academic year hasn't started well in terms of administration. Enrolment has been chaotic for probably more than half of the students and many are still facing issues 10 weeks into the semester! Plus, the university doesn't seem to react or acknowledge the problem as ZERO announcement have been made about the subject. However, the Student Hub is really supporting us in the best way they can. On this note, I'm really glad I've made the choice to study at the University of Stirling but if it wasn't for my fees paid by SAAS, never would I have paid 15-20k a year to study here.

Overall, my university experience has been very good so far. Although it took a while to get used to the new environment, the campus is very welcoming. Lectures are easy to follow and we were eased into them nicely.
