The master's degree (MSc) in Allergy is designed for healthcare professionals who want to: expand their understanding of multiple aspects of allergy, improve their own clinical service, pass on your new knowledge to your colleagues, adult and paediatric patients and their families. It is an online course that you can complete in 2 to 5 years part time or 1-year full time. You must take 3 mandatory learning modules but can then choose from 7 optional ones. While studying for the MSc, you will become part of a community of allergy specialists and learn from your peers around the world. You’ll gain the confidence to influence other healthcare professionals’ practice and wider health policy. Our courses are flexible, so you can progress to the MSc from the postgraduate certificate or diploma in Allergy, both of which require less time to complete. If you’re a doctor, nurse, dietitian, clinical psychologist or pharmacist working in a hospital or your community, this course will help you: better understand the mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and management of allergic diseases, make more accurate diagnoses, improve patient care and develop innovative solutions to your clinic’s challenges, develop your problem-solving and research evidence skills, develop your leadership skills in clinical allergy and create strategies to continue your professional development.
You need at least a 2:2 degree in a relevant subject. This course is also available as an intercalation degree for undergraduate medical students. We may also consider an application if you have a relevant professional qualification, for example you may be a registered nurse without an undergraduate degree.
You must submit all supporting documents, including evidence that you can satisfy our English language requirement, when you submit your application.
