The BA (Hons) Airline and Airport Management is a dedicated qualification which will introduce you to various aspects of the exciting aviation, airline and airport industries. Designed with insight from a range of aviation and industry experts, this course highlights the changes and developments within the industry.You will gain an understanding of the human factors in aviation, airline strategic management, and airport operational management as well as have the opportunity to undertake an internship module. This course will provide a route to improve skills and knowledge for a career in the associated industries. This will help you develop the knowledge and experiences to pursue a career in the operations, planning, security, marketing and management of airlines as well as airports, ground handlers and cargo operators.Ordinarily, UK airlines contribute over £11bn to the economy and support around 200,000 jobs. By focussing on the management of the airport, airline and ancillary businesses you will gain a broad understanding of this exciting industry and establish you to be well equipped for a career in aviation management.There are employment opportunities such as expert operatives, supervisors, junior managers, creative 'intrapreneurs' and Start-Up Business Entrepreneurs (niche services) have been identified across the airline and airport sectors.
