The Agroecology, Water and Food Sovereignty MSc is a transdisciplinary course enabling you to address the fundamental challenge of securing ecologically sustainable and socially just food and agricultural systems. It has agroecology, food sovereignty, and other non-conventional food and farming approaches at its core, equipping you with in-depth understanding of some of the biggest issues confronting contemporary food and farming systems, and the solutions required for their remedying. This course is designed for students from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, including physical and natural sciences, geography, social sciences and humanities, economics, and political sciences.
At least a second class honours degree in a relevant social or natural science discipline. Applicants are normally invited to visit the University as part of the postgraduate open days in the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing. This offers an opportunity for both parties to meet and to ask questions. It also offers the applicant an opportunity to view the facilities on offer at the University.
