Loads of areas to study. The libraries are quite depressing places though especially the Philip robinson library, but not sure how that can be improved

I love Newcastle because of the variety of academics available, proximity to city centre, helpfulness of all the Personal Tutors, and the social student life. Staff are always willing to help or at least point you in the right direction. As an international student, I appreciate the welcoming nature of both the university and city.

Location: Newcastle is one of the liveliest and friendliest cities I've been. Nothing compares to Northern hospitality. Also, the city centre is essentially your campus, everything you need at walking distance. Student Life: Newcastle is extremely student friendly. Always something going, everyone and anyone can find something that aligns with their interests (endless list of groups, societies, and events). There's also the extra bonus of all the student discounts available!

Generally good all around. Some complaints about reduced services; recently one of the previous 24 hour study sites seems to have been reduced in hours (Fredrick Douglas building). Good support services through student union but old 3-reagent drug tests have been replaced with smaller kits that only offer 2 reagents, thus limiting the range of chemicals that can be tested for. Notably no reagents for benzodiazepene testing however we are very lucky to have these free services at all. Campus was much better with the Palestine encampment- the area is now fenced off and has been vacant for months! Very sad to see such a nice community be suppressed, without going I thr political implications.

It’s such an open environment for great learning experiences and people here are so warm and helpful. Best faculty with best ambiance for education. I’m having the dreamy time of my life. This place made me feel home away from home.
