Hartpury University

Hartpury is located on a farm which gives us agricultural students the opportunities to do lots of practical work, which teaches us future farmers how to identify a problems on farm and what decisions can we make to solve that problem for example, doing a field walk and we find disease in a crop, we will be given a list of pesticides and biological control methods to choose from and as a group we will discuss what would be the best method to control the disease and are what are the options to prevent the disease , which gives us students real life experiences , which I find very useful for my future. My only issue with Hartpury is the parking situation.

More AI and data science modules: Expanding programming and machine learning options would help students like me integrate AI skills more deeply into animal science. • Access to larger datasets: Having shared, annotated animal behaviour datasets would make AI-based projects more powerful and practical. • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Encouraging more joint work between animal science, computing, and environmental science students would lead to more innovative projects. • Advanced computing resources: Upgrading access to GPU-powered systems for training AI models would benefit research productivity. • Extra workshops on tech tools: Sessions on tools like Python, TensorFlow, and image recognition software would help bridge theory and practical AI application.

Beautiful and peaceful location with lovely walks, a farm and many different animals to see. New modern restaurant and eating facilities and well stocked library. Good support with 1 to 1s available to book for placements and career advice, as well as academic workshops. Sport is limited to mainly academy sports so casual, recreational sport is limited, especially team sports.

I really enjoy the location of the campus, and the campus itself with the facilities it offers. A an agricultural student, the study spaces are very limited.

I love the environment and the community. The facilities are ok but the building work on the new building is taking a long time and is impacting on site study spaces.
