Whether you are aspiring to a career in farm management, agricultural consultancy or an environmental/land management advisory role, this course will lead you there. Graduates have gone on to work for prestigious companies such as Agrii, Dalmark Group, Waitrose, AGCO and Natural England.You will cover everything from business planning, soil analysis, livestock production and welfare and crop production to environmental protection. In addition to essential theory, you will benefit from hands-on experience in laboratories and on farms and via agricultural case studies.You will also have access to the University’s Farm491 facility, an innovative agritech business incubator providing facilities and support to agritech businesses and promoting technology and innovation within the sector.**Course structure**You will study two core modules covering current affairs within the agricultural industry, create an integrated farm planning project which includes a business plan, and complete a Research Project.You will also select four elective modules, to specialise in a specific sector of interest or to gain a broader understanding of agriculture, land-use and business issues.The course will be delivered through a series of lectures, seminars, group projects, visits and demonstrations at local farms, agricultural businesses and in the RAU laboratories. You will be assessed through research projects, examinations, presentations, work-based learning and case studies.**Work placement**If you have already secured employment you may choose to study up to 50% of the course in the workplace, reducing the amount of time you will spend on campus-based modules.

We will consider D grade or above in A2 English language. A2 in English literature (C grade or above) provided the applicant has already achieved a GCSE D grade in English or equivalent. For applicants whose first language is not English, we accept a variety of English language tests IELTS and IELTS Indicator (International English Language Testing System – academic version) with 6.0 overall with no element below 5.5, and they are listed on our?International Entry Requirements page.
