Main library open until 1am which is great however the engineering campus is often neglected when it comes to events and opening hours with the library only open until 5 and not at all on weekends

Navigating the Multi-Campus System A key aspect of life at Kingston is understanding its multi-campus setup. The university has four campuses, and traveling between them—especially to Kingston Hill and Roehampton Vale—is a common part of the week. The free inter-site bus service is a reliable solution, but strategic planning is essential. Here’s a quick guide based on accommodation: Kingston Hill Campus: Live at Chancellors or Walkden Hall for an on-site commute. Penrhyn Road Campus: Opt for Seething Wells or Clayhill for a 5–15 minute journey. Roehampton Vale Campus: No halls on-site; a 30+ minute commute via the university bus is typical. ✨ Where Kingston University Truly Shines Once you're on campus, the university's strengths become clear. The library, IT support, and faculty are consistently helpful and create a positive learning atmosphere. Practical support measures, like short-term laptop loans and well-equipped study spaces, make a tangible difference. The halls offer modern amenities, from fast WiFi to secure, social common areas. A Vibrant and Connected Student Life Beyond academics, Kingston offers a vibrant campus life that blends a strong local community with the opportunities of nearby London. With an active student union, diverse clubs and societies, and the lively riverside town of Kingston-upon-Thames on your doorstep, there are plenty of ways to socialize and grow. You get the best of both worlds: a welcoming campus environment and easy access to London's vast cultural and professional scene. My Final Take If you value strong student support, modern facilities, and a proactive student community, Kingston University is an excellent choice. Best ones are the teachers knowing how to do their jobs, and the library and computers being up to date, worst ones are location for sure as it does not offer enough parking considering how many of us study at this campus

Best experience would have to be the independance, we are free to do what we like such as go to the library to study, go to the canteen on site and have food with friends as well as enjoy all of the facilities provided without grief or altercations Worst experience would have to be the lack of character. The university seems quite off especially compared to other university's nearby. I feel as though (could just be my campus Roehampton Vale for Engineering) lacks a sense of it being MY university. I've visited Middlesex university, Brunel, Greenwich and Lancaster University and every time I visited it felt great like its a whole community there. Students happy socializing, enjoying loads of facilities provided like fairs, gyms, sports areas, large chill areas and such. It felt like a place that's more than just going to daily to study and get my degree, it felt like a sense of purpose whilst at Kingston, for the last 4 years it genuinely feels like a place I just come to, to study, get work done and occasionally chill with mates. Besides that not much else. I don't ever feel inclined to come in on my days out of my timetabled lectures (besides for studying) as I feel it's just a waste of time.

The best aspects of studying at Kingston University are the great facilities that they have. As I am studying Aerospace Engineering I have the opportunity to use high-class facilities to gain an understanding of my work eg: the lab facilities where experiments are held and the on-campus and online library which was explained to us at the start of our studies on how we could use it. I also feel the university is concerned with student well-being as they have resources for this and are regularly giving updates on how we can make the most of this. The student life experience is also very good as there is a lot a student can do in terms of the activities. What I also really like is the free intersite uni bus which takes us to the different universe halls and campuses. What could be improved at Kingston University is the quality of teaching. I feel the teaching is not at the standard it should be as some teachers do not provide the students with quality practice questions, teaching material and solutions to questions so that the student is fully up to date with all of the resources that are available to them. This should be drastically improved and fast.
