This MSc in Advanced Sport Performance Science has developed a track record in successfully preparing students for employment in high performance sport or progression towards doctoral research (PhD) degrees. Fundamentally, this programme equips students with the underpinning theoretical knowledge and practical skills across performance science domains. Students will develop core competencies across applied data science, training science, recovery science, competition day strategies and performance planning. Uniquely, this MSc includes a 12-month placement allocation with one of our industry partners in elite football, rugby, swimming, tennis and applied data analytics. These invaluable placement experiences significantly enhance our students’ employability prospects, preparing our graduates to pursue their desired career path.
Applicants must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2:1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) in Sports Science or similar relevant science discipline.
