This course provides a unique opportunity for professionals in the health and care sector to develop their leadership and management skills while applying innovative approaches to transform the way health and care services are delivered. The Bevan Exemplar Programme is a national programme that supports health and care professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve services and patient outcomes, while the Climb Programme is a leadership development programme for emerging leaders in health and care. This course will offer academic input, pedagogical framing, and assessment mechanisms for experiential learning. This PGCert Advanced Management (Applied Innovation) provides a unique and innovative approach to leadership and management development in the health and care sector, which is essential for meeting the challenges facing the sector today and in the future through research and innovation. If learners, having completed the PGCert, wish to further their studies to a full Master’s degree they will be able to apply for the MSc Advanced Management (Health Innovation and Transformation) by cashing-in their existing credits.
Students must attain 2:1 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree and any degree subject will be considered. We would also be willing to consider those with other backgrounds and work experience in the sector, in place of the degree entry requirement. Students must also have a minimum of one-year relevant work experience.
