The MSc Adult Nursing is a two-year pre-registration course that will lead to registration as an adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.The course is a collaboration between The University of Manchester and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The purpose is to prepare graduates from any discipline for an exciting career in nursing leadership, education or clinical academia. The MSc comprises a 50:50 split between theory and practice. The theory component blends face-to-face and online learning, and self-directed study. Theory is delivered by experienced and internationally renowned academics and clinical colleagues, with a focus on translating high quality research evidence into practice.Practice placements are in Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supported by simulated practice, and clinical and mandatory skills teaching on campus. In Year 1, these will introduce you to the fundamentals of nursing practice. In Year 2, you will develop practical skills in leadership, teaching and learning, and research.The Adult Nursing (MSc) is for students with an undergraduate degree in any subject.
