Based in the city of Southampton, Solent University focuses on the practical side of higher education by offering industry-focused degrees. These aim to give students the knowledge needed to succeed in their degree, as well as the practical experience and connections to become industry-ready after graduating. Solent became an official university in 2005 but has origins that can be traced back to 1855. Since 2005, the uni has graduated over 50,000 students and it currently offers around 90 undergraduate courses in subjects including architecture, art & design, law, computing, sport, and health & medical science. Spread over several campuses across Southampton, Solent students enjoy a welcoming and tight-knit community.
