This course helps you to understand the role of accounting and financial management within an organisation, as well as providing a solid grounding in modern economic theory and techniques of applied economic analysis.
This three-year dual honours course blends the study of accounting and financial management within organisations, with a comprehensive understanding of modern economic theory and will provide you with the techniques of applied economic analysis.Your time will be evenly divided between the Sheffield University Management School and the Department of Economics, allowing you to learn from the expertise of academics in both departments, who will bring their storied careers to your teaching.You’ll spend your first year building up a solid grounding of both subjects and hone your skills in the mathematical methods required for the course.In your second and third year, you will have the opportunity to tailor the degree to your interests, selecting multiple modules to specialise the course.From day one, you’ll be supported by our accomplished teaching staff, including some of the top economic experts in their fields. The passion for their subject will be brought to every teaching session that you have.
