Based minutes from Manchester, the University of Salford is at the heart of 21st century creativity and learning. The university is made up of six schools, including: the Schools of Arts and Media; the School of the Built Environment; the School of Computing, Science and Engineering; the School of Environment and Life Sciences; the School of Health and Society; and Salford Business School. A focus on practical learning and links with industry sets the University of Salford apart from other institutions. Many of its courses are designed and taught by industry practitioners. In addition, work placements, live briefs and internships are available to many of the students who study there. The university was awarded bronze in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework. The university’s campus is spread across three sites: Peel Park, MediaCityUK and Frederick Road.
